Gday Beirut - Cameron Reilly interviews a Lebanese Blogger
Cameron Reilly (Owner of The Podcast Network) is nothing if not visionary, passionate and always after ways to learn more and to help his listeners learn more about what is going on in the world we live in. This time he has gone to some one on the ground in Lebanon, a Lebanese blogger named Bob. Here is his description of the interview (Click here to go to the interview where you can listen to the whole thing)
Today my special guest is Ibrahim Jouhari. Ibrahim writes “Bob’s Blog” from Saida in Lebanon, about 40kms away from Beirut. He has been calling for PEACE NOW on his blog for the last couple of weeks and getting a wide range of responses, from international support to extreme criticism. He talks to me about the background to the current conflict, his personal perspectives on what needs to happen to secure peace, the role of bloggers in a time of war and we even talk about time travel (he’s a SCIFI nut).
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the interview as of yet but I know it will be good. I have a feeling that those of us that are living so far away from the situation can never truely understand all the history and reasons for the conflict but this at least gives us a strong view from one of the side involved (I wonder if Cam with sort out an Israeli Blogger and get there feeling on the issue? I really hope you go and check it out and expand your mind. Molly
