Clarko Grilled and just walks away
Chris Stubbs (no need to shout your name or the title of the article Chris) has a blog post (over at Hutchies Fooyheads site) on the press conference today of Alastair Clarkson after a big week.
CLARKSON RESPONDS TO CONTROVERSIAL WEEK
Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson has responded to the huge week at Hawthorn in a tense press conference moments ago.
Clarkson delivered a statement admitting he discussed with President Jeff Kennett his comments about the Hawks fade out in last week’s match during a meeting on Tuesday but would not take questions from the media on the matter.
Chris goes on to report that Clarko said that the club was going to have hiccups and that the players and coaches didn’t want that but its going to happen. But the highlight of the report was that Clarko isn’t going to take crap from the media when they are going to ask the same question over and over again knowing that the person being interviewed isn’t actually going to answer that question.
I know the media gets really shitty about this and can report some reports have (ideally) threatened that they won’t come to Clarko’s Press Conferences if he isn’t going to answer their questions. To my thinking this would be no loss to the Hawks if they decided not to come!
