Priority Draft picks as Expected
Carlton took Marc Murphy as expected. Collingwood had the decision between Ellis and Thomas and took Dale Thomas leaving Hawthorn to swoop on Xavier Ellis.
Small inside midfielder/forward - Very competitive and spirited ball winner who is smart at reading the play and around goals. Creative player who was Runner-up in Chargers Best and Fairest, had an outstanding NAB AFL U18 Championships winning Larke Medal and All-Australian honours. AIS/AFL Academy graduate this year. His agility and spring were outstanding attributes displayed at the NAB AFL Draft Camp both ranked in top 12%. From Doncaster FC.
Medium forward who is an elusive player and smart around goals. A very competitive type who had an outstanding 2005 winning All-Australian U18 honours as well as TAC Cup Team of the Year selection. Won Best on Ground honours in TAC Cup Grand Final on MCG with Gippsland Power showing class in the air, at ground level and around goals. His 2.93sec for 20m put him in top 6% for speed at NAB AFL Draft Camp highlighting another attribute. From Drouin FC
Medium Defender/midfielder who carries ball well and uses it smartly on preferred left side. AIS/AFL Academy in 2005 and All-Australian at U18 level. Mixed his football between Melbourne Grammar and Gippsland Power, topping off a great year with Premiership success at the MCG where he was a key player for Power. His 2.98sec for 20m and 80cm vertical jump showed his natural attributes were in top bracket at NAB AFL Draft Camp. From Lakes Entrance FC.
